June is Men's Health Month
Men’s Health Month is a time to raise awareness about the health and well-being of men and encourage healthy habits at every age. It’s also a reminder about the importance of regular checkups, preventive care, staying active, and paying attention to changes in health.
Resources for Everyone
- Urology Care Foundation: provides information on various exams that are important for all men to stay on top of their overall health. The website also includes a variety of health guides, checklists, and fact sheets.
- Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion: offers tips to help men take charge of their health, including staying active, eating healthy, scheduling regular checkups, and keeping up with recommended screenings and preventive care.
- National Institute of Mental Health: shares information about men’s mental health, including common warning signs, ways to support emotional well-being, and when to seek help for mental health concerns.
- American Journal of Men's Health (AJMH) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that focuses on cutting-edge information regarding men's health and illness.
- MedlinePlus, from the National Library of Medicine, has information to help men pay more attention to their health. There are health conditions that only affect men. Many of the major health risks that men face can be prevented and treated with early diagnosis.
